Shawn Asmuth, Chair, called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Representatives present: Judy Allen, Shawn Asmuth, Fred Bobo, Beth Bailey, Kim Durbin, Carl Gagliano, Jane Goff, Robert Gottesman, Ellyn Hix, Jack Lawton, Michael Miller, Donna Mitcham, David Moncus, Betty Reese, Kevin Robinson, Jim Stone, Sherry Sydnor, and Ted Trupp.

The minutes from the August 1 meeting were reviewed. Gagliano moved that the minutes be accepted. Allen seconded and the motion carried.

Asmuth presented the nominees for the A&P Standing Committees. Trupp moved that the nominees be accepted. Stone seconded and the motion carried.

Asmuth gave a report from a meeting that she had with Christine Curtis regarding the semester transition. Dr. Curtis asked the A&P employee group to think about and give feedback about how the semester transition will effect the welfare of the employees in regard to their personal life. The Welfare Committee will continue with this for further review. Asmuth encouraged Assembly members to give feedback to the Welfare Committee.

New Business:

Miller mentioned that he would be updating the mailing list for the A&P Assembly and Executive Committee.

Gagliano brought up the issue of presenting the happenings for the A&P Assembly in the form of a newsletter. Discussion followed. In line with this, it was discussed that A&P Committees would be asked to give their reports to the Executive Committee at the October meeting. Asmuth is going to follow up on this area.

The next scheduled meeting will be Wednesday, October 22 at 3:00 p.m. in 217 Foy Union.

Mitchum moved for the meeting to adjourn and was seconded by Sydnor. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
