Auburn is a special place, and we want to assist you as you begin your transition to your new home. We look forward to you joining us on campus in the spring. It will be here before you know it!

To confirm your place at Auburn University, you must complete all of the following by the deadlines given below.

  1. Accept your invitation to enroll for Spring 2023.
Congratulations and War Eagle! First-year students offered admission to Spring 2023 will be required to accept the invitation by May 31, 2022, at aub.ie/spring2023. Once you’ve accepted our offer, you will receive your official acceptance packet in the mail, gain access to your admitted portal, and pay your enrollment deposit for Spring 2023. Should space become available for the fall, you will receive priority consideration for fall enrollment.
  2. Activate your Auburn User account.
Visit auburn.edu/activate for instructions to enable your Auburn account. Once your account is activated, you will be able to log in to AU Access. You will also be able to log in to your Auburn email account, which will be the official form of communication from the university. It is important to activate your account first in this process, as you will need access to these tools to complete your admission acceptance.
  3. Verify we have received an official copy of your high school transcript.
Log in to your Auburn Applicant Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal to verify that we have received an official copy of your high school transcript. You will not be able to submit your enrollment deposit until we have this on file.
  4. Submit your $250 Enrollment Deposit by December 1.
Submit your enrollment deposit online via your Auburn Admitted Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal. This deposit is non-refundable and will apply to your first semester tuition and orientation fees. Charges incurred prior to registration will be billed separately and should be paid accordingly. All students are required to pay the enrollment deposit including pre-paid tuition participants and academic or athletic scholarship recipients. If you are accepted after the deposit deadline, you have 15 days from your acceptance date to submit your enrollment deposit. This is not a deposit for university housing.

I was admitted for the Spring semester. What’s next?
Congratulations and War Eagle! First-year students offered admission to Spring 2023 will be required to accept the invitation by May 31, 2022, at aub.ie/spring2023. Once you've accepted our offer, you will receive your acceptance packet in the mail, gain access to your admitted portal, and pay your enrollment deposit for Spring 2023. Should space become available for the fall, students admitted for the spring will receive priority consideration for fall enrollment.

Why have I been admitted to the Spring?
Auburn University determines the number of new students we can enroll for the upcoming academic year. The number is based on our ability to ensure we can provide quality academic instruction and student services for both new and currently enrolled students. While we have reached enrollment capacity for the fall, spring admission is offered to a select number of competitive applicants.

Can I attend a community college or another university for the Summer or Fall semester?
Students may choose to attend a community college or another university for the fall semester before enrolling at Auburn this spring. Students must submit an official final transcript by January 15, 2023. If you plan to take courses in the fall, we encourage you to consider Southern Union Community College.

Can I request to enroll for the Fall semester?
All applications were reviewed for the fall semester, and therefore, students offered spring admission have not been admitted for the fall. Due to space availability, we cannot provide you with a fall admission at this time. Requesting a major change or submitting additional information will not change your decision.

When do I need to submit my transcripts?
Upon graduation, please request a final copy of your high school transcript (must include graduation date) and all college transcripts, be sent to:

Am I eligible to receive financial aid for the Spring semester?
All undergraduate students are eligible to receive consideration for financial aid for the Spring semester, depending on their financial need as determined by completion of the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students enrolling Spring term may apply for 2023-24 general and departmental scholarships through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manger (AUSOM).

How do I get access to the Counseling Center, Medical Clinic and Campus Rec?
You will have full access to all campus resources on the first day of spring semester.

Will there be a Welcome Week for spring?
Yes. While it will not be called Welcome Week, the University Program Council (UPC) will coordinate a variety of events and activities to help new and returning students connect on campus during the first week of the spring semester.

Can I join clubs and organizations in the spring?
Yes. Spring is a great time to get involved at Auburn, as clubs and organizations are typically transitioning leadership and members in the spring. Applications are available for all students regardless of experience level.

Am I eligible to participate in sorority or fraternity recruitment this spring? Will all chapters participate in spring recruitment?
Yes. Students can participate in spring 2023 recruitment. Most chapters will recruit new members in the spring, but some will not. For students who want to participate in a more structured, traditional recruitment process, they may choose to wait until fall. All chapters participate in fall recruitment. More information about spring and fall recruitment can be found here.

If I join a sorority or fraternity this fall at another institution, can I transfer into that organization in the spring?
Each individual chapter makes their own decisions about allowing members to transfer from another organization. Students who are interested in transferring their membership should ask the chapter president at their current institution to reach out to the Auburn University chapter president. Once contact is made, the chapter president will be able to best advise the student on their individual chapter process. If you have more questions, please contact Greek Life by emailing greek@auburn.edu or calling 334-844-4600.

If I am living in Auburn the fall before I start classes in January 2023, am I eligible to participate in sorority or fraternity recruitment?
