Finalizing Your Admission


Confirmation Deposit

Once accepted, a confirmation deposit of $200 is required no later than the stated deadline or 30 days after a decision has been made (if the decision was made after the stated deadline). The confirmation deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are submitted online at www.auburn.edu/admissions/deposit.

Plan of Study

After paying the confirmation deposit, transfer students must also submit a Transfer Plan of Study.

Medical Form

A Medical Information Form must be submitted by all incoming students prior to class registration. To complete your Medical Form please visit the Med Clinic Forms page

More than 60% of Auburn students receive some type of financial assistance. Millions of dollars are awarded each year in financial aid and scholarships. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online on January 1. The results of your FAFSA and other requirements, if necessary, must be received by Auburn by April 1 to receive maximum federal aid consideration. The FAFSA determines your eligibility for grants, loans, and work-study programs, which are need-based.

Scholarships

Auburn also provides a wide variety of scholarships to eligible students. Priority consideration is given to admission applications postmarked by December 1. Your application for admission to Auburn also serves as your application for Freshman and General Scholarship consideration. The results of your FAFSA must be received by Auburn by March 1 to receive consideration for need-based General and Departmental Scholarships. Please contact the college or school in which you plan to major for Departmental Scholarship consideration.

Successfully Orientating Students (SOS)

All transfer students are required to attend the S.O.S (Successfully Orientating Students) Program. SOS is a one-day program that emphasizes university services, meetings with academic advisors, small group discussions on college student life led by upper-class student leaders, and registration for classes. Students will receive more information about S.O.S after the confirmation deposit is received.

Housing

The Hill, Quad, and Village residence halls at Auburn are your "home away from home". Soon you will receive more information about the accommodations and services that Auburn offers. Want convenience, a supportive environment, and the chance to develop lasting friendships? Then live on campus!

You’ll also be able to take advantage of programs, activities, and leadership opportunities right where you live. And, you can access the Internet directly through wireless connections in your room and common areas in the residence halls.

At Auburn, you’re not required to live on campus, and therefore, freshmen are not guaranteed on-campus housing. However, with the addition of the new Village community, more than 60% of the 2011 freshman class lived on campus. Housing is guaranteed on a firstcome, first-served basis so don’t delay in securing your reservation!

After we receive your $200 confirmation deposit, you’ll receive more information which will include how to apply for University Housing. Submit your confirmation deposit today to improve your chances for placement in one of your preferred housing choices.
