What is the difference between joint enrollment/dual enrollment versus early admission?
JE – Joint Enrolled
Joint enrolled students are new first time freshmen who enroll in college level course work while still enrolled in and attending high school. This may include students who complete their graduation requirements during or prior to their senior year (typically mid senior year) but will not graduate and receive their diploma until the end of the senior year with their graduating class. If attending Auburn University as a joint enrolled student, the student must also submit a regular freshman admission application following completion of their junior year of high school, in addition to the joint enrollment admission application.
EA – Early Admission
Early admission students are new first time freshmen who complete their graduation requirements during or prior to their senior year (typically mid senior year) and are no longer enrolled in or attending high school, thus graduating and receiving the high school diploma. Their admission application is the sole admission application submitted to AU. Early admission students must enroll at Auburn University.
