Application Instructions

Please take a few minutes to read the following information. Of particular importance, is the bullet point below regarding PAC numbers. Questions regarding your PAC number are most quickly answered via e-mail at webadms@auburn.edu. Be sure to include your full name and social security number for prompt assistance. The online application does not include the Additional Information Form found on the paper application. This may be found by clicking the link and printing the form as instructed. Please complete this form and mail it under separate cover to the address shown. Remember, to attend AU you must receive an offer of admission. For this to happen, you will need to submit a complete application file. Your first step is to complete and submit this application. The instructions below will assist you in completing the application accurately.

Data Entry

Please enter your information in a normal format (upper and lower case). Review your entries carefully for accuracy. Inaccurate or incomplete information can delay the processing of your application.
Personal Identification

You will be asked to supply personal identification. The primary identifier is your Social Security Number (SSN). While this information is optional, it assists Auburn University in identifying your high school, college, and financial aid records as well as test scores and other important data.

Personal Admissions Code (PAC)

The other component of your identification is the numeric, six-digit, Personal Admissions Code, or PAC. This number is also referred to as a PIN.  This number allows you to complete the log-in to the application. In most cases, you will be asked to create your PAC and provide details regarding your name, address, and telephone number. The student information system will then create your application file.

If you have previously applied to Auburn, or have sent us test scores from SAT or ACT, your name and address information may already be in our student system. In this case, the system will ask you to verify your information. You may receive a message that says the system is unable to verify your identity. Most often this is due to an improperly entered address or social security number, or a change in address.

The Office of Undergraduate Recruiting will assist you with acquiring a PAC via e-mail at webadms@auburn.edu. You must include your full name and social security number in the e-mail for assistance. E-mail PAC requests will be handled within 24 hours.

Once you have received your PAC, write it down and keep it in a safe place. You will need it in order to access the on-line application in the future.

If you lose your PAC number, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Recruiting  at webadms@auburn.edu  for assistance.
