AUBURN ALUM AMONG DEAD IN WORLD TRADE CENTER ATTACK
AUBURN -- Auburn University graduate Lynn Edwards Angell was among those killed in Tuesday's terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City.
Lynn Angell, a 1971 Auburn graduate, and her husband were among the 92 passengers and crew on board American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767 jetliner bound from Boston's Logan Airport to Los Angeles. The airliner was hijacked and crashed into World Trade Center 1 in New York City Tuesday morning.
Angell's husband, David, was an Emmy Award-winning co-creator/co-executive producer of the NBC sitcom "Frasier."
The Angells were returning from a vacation at their Cape Code home to their home in Pasadena, Calif.
A member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority while at Auburn, Lynn Angell graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Later, she received a master's degree in library science from the University of Rhode Island. She was listed in Auburn's most recent alumni directory as retired.
Lynn Angell was a former resident of Mountain Brook near Birmingham. Her brother, Dr. Thomas Edwards, still lives there.
