PAGE NAMED INTERIM HEAD OF AU DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
AUBURN -- Daniel E. Page, a member of the Auburn University faculty since 1984, has been named interim head of the Department of Finance, replacing John Jahera who was named interim dean of the College of Business.
Promoted to full professor at Auburn in 1997, Page teaches corporate finance, investments, real estate and healthcare financial management.
During 1993-1995, Page led a $2.5 million study for the state that dealt with attaching interest arrearages on delinquent child support payments.
Page is also certified by the Alabama Real Estate Commission to teach the broker and salesman pre and post licensing courses. He also teaches in the Executive MBA and Physician Executive MBA Program
A native of Red Springs, N.C., Page received his B.S. in banking and finance in 1974 from Appalachian State University and an MBA from Appalachian State in 1978. He earned his doctorate from the University of Georgia in 1981.
Prior to coming to Auburn, he was on the faculty at Virginia Tech and the University of Central Florida.
