AU THEATRE & MUSIC PRESENTS "ANYTHING GOES" WITH LOCAL TALENT
AUBURN -- Cast members have been chosen and rehearsals have started on Auburn University's town and gown production of "Anything Goes," which will be performed June 20- 23.
With a cast of more than 40, rehearsals are proceeding well, said Ralph Miller, professor and interim department chair in AU's Department of Music.
Cast members will rehearse each weeknight until the June 20 opening, said Miller, who is directing the play.
"Anything Goes," the age-old tale of boy meets girl and the complications which ensue, has been chosen to the first university/community production. Each performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
With music and lyrics by Cole Porter, "Anything Goes" is the first of two summer productions that are part of the Department of Theatre's SummerStage 2001. The second production is "Lend Me A Tenor," set for July 11-14.
