AUBURN'S MITRA NAMED PRESIDENT-ELECT OF AAHEB

AUBURN -- Amit Mitra, associate dean in Auburn University's College of Business, has been named president-elect for 2001-02 of the Alabama Association for Higher Education in Business. Mitra will serve as the association's president for 2002-2003.

Formerly the Alabama Council on Higher Education in Business, AAHEB coordinates academic programs in business in Alabama junior and senior colleges through meetings and conferences.

Mitra says the association has been helpful in developing state articulation agreements for programs in the schools and colleges of Business throughout the state. Additionally, it has helped with the issue of transfer credit for students who transfer from junior colleges or four-year institutions to other four-year institutions in the state.
