AUBURN -- W.R. "Wil" Miller has been named assistant vice president for development in the Auburn University Office of Alumni and Development, says Betty M. DeMent, vice president for alumni and development. The appointment is effective immediately.

Prior to coming to Auburn, Miller enjoyed a teaching and administrative career spanning 30 years at Purdue University and the University of Missouri. He has also served numerous agencies and universities, including the government of the Republic of Turkey, as an educational consultant.
"Wil Miller has been an outstanding addition to the Alumni and Development staff in all of the capacities in which he has served," DeMent said. "We are very excited that he has agreed to lead our development area as we wrap up Campaign Auburn and look ahead to the next century."
The six-year Campaign Auburn: The Next Generation exceeded its $175 million goal last fall and ended Dec. 31. The final tally will be announced in connection with special activities this spring to mark the campaign's conclusion. Campaign Auburn generated gifts and commitments for scholarships, faculty support, facilities and other longterm improvements to the university.
