<P><B>WILKINSON VISITING EXECUTIVE IN AUBURN COLLEGE OF
BUSINESS</b>
     <P>AUBURN -- Harry Richard Wilkinson of Bellevue, Wash., retired chief financial
officer of Orient Overseas (International) Limited in Hong Kong, will be the Lowder Visiting
Executive in the Auburn University College of Business on March 14-16.
     <P>The Macon, Ga., native and graduate of AU, spent much of his career in Hong
Kong, traveling widely throughout Asia   most notably China.
      <P>First-day events in the College of Business include a roundtable discussion with
graduate students, presentations to undergraduate classes and a meeting with the college's
Executive Society.
     <P>On Thursday, Wilkinson will meet with John Jahera, interim dean of the College of
Business, and other faculty members and make presentations to four other business classes.
     <P>On Friday, Wilkinson will speak to three classes and conclude his visit with a
luncheon hosted by Jahera.
     <P>Wilkinson received his undergraduate degree in 1964 from Auburn, where he was
editor of <I>The Auburn Plainsman</i> during his senior year. He served as a Navy officer from
1964-69, winning the Vietnamese Navy Distinguished Service Order, Navy Commendation
Medal and the Vietnam Service Award for combat.
     <P>Following his naval service, Wilkinson earned three master's degrees from the
University of Michigan's Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies. He is now a member
of the Visiting Committee of the University of Michigan School of Business.
     <P>Until November 2000, Wilkinson was CFO, director and corporate vice president
of Orient Overseas (International) Limited.
     <p>Wilkinson was managing director and regional manager of Chemical Bank in Hong
Kong from 1987-96. He was also vice president and deputy branch manager of Manufacturers
Hanover Trust Company, the predecessor of Chemical Bank, in Hong Kong.
     <P>Prior to moving to Hong Kong in 1983, Wilkinson was vice president and senior
representative of Manufacturers Hanover Trust in Oslo, Norway. His work in Asia began in the
late 1970s when he was vice president of J. Henry Schroder Bank and Trust Company in New
York.
     <P>The Robert and Charlotte Lowder Visiting Executive-in-Residence program
provides students and faculty with an opportunity to interact with prominent executives for an
open exchange of views on current issues and to gain insight into the business world.
     <P>The program is made possible through an endowment by Robert and Charlotte
Lowder of Montgomery. Lowder, a 1954 graduate of the AU College of Business and a member
of the AU Board of Trustees, is chief executive officer of Colonial BancGroup.
