JAMES EARL JONES TO APPEAR AT AU-SPONSORED FILM FESTIVAL
AUBURN -- Actor James Earl Jones will appear at the only Alabama stop of the National Film Registry Tour March 8-10 at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham. The Auburn University Department of Communication will host the event.
The classic film festival is sponsored by the Library of Congress and the National Film Preservation Board.
Jones, well-known as the voice of Darth Vadar in the "Star War" series and King Mufasa in "The Lion King," will participate in a news conference with the National Film Registry on Saturday, March 8.
Tickets will go on sale soon for a reception with Jones and a special screening of one of his favorite movies, "Dr. Strangelove."
Lee Erwin, one of America's preeminent organist, will provide accompanying music for a special selection of classic films, including Tom Edison's "Great Train Robbery."
