AU SINGERS TO GIVE 'DESSERT CABARET' ON CAMPUS
AUBURN The Auburn University Singers will be presenting its sixth annual Dessert Cabaret on Friday and Saturday, March 2-3.
The evening, which will being at 8 p.m. in the Foy Union Ballroom, will feature a variety of desserts combined with entertainment by the AU Singers, a group of 32 vocalists and nine instrumentalists.
The music featured will be a variety of small group presentations, individual singers and group selections.
Tickets for the cabaret at $10 and can be purchased at the Foy Union desk or in Goodwin Hall, Room 113, or by calling 334/844-4194.
Under the direction of Thomas Smith, director of Choral Activities. The group was founded in 1972 to add an extra dimension to choral music at AU. Since its formation, the AU Singers has been in constant demand as the group has performed for television specials, conventions, community concerts, and various campus events. The group has entertained guests from all country and abroad.
