STATE TREASURER TO SPEAK TO AUBURN BUSINESS STUDENTS
AUBURN--State Treasurer Lucy Baxley will speak to Auburn University business students on Feb. 15, as part of the AU College of Business' Distinguished Leaders in Government and Business Series.
The MBA Program and the College of Business will host a reception for Baxley at 11 a.m. She then speak at noon to a graduate finance class taught by James Barth, the Lowder Eminent Scholar in Finance.
Daniel Gropper, director of Auburn's MBA Program, says the Distinguished Leaders in Government and Business Series is beneficial to Auburn students "because it allows them to interact directly with business and government leaders."
"We have strong links with business and government and it's helpful when we have people in leadership positions to come in and talk to our students," he said.
Earlier speakers have included Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., and Rep. Bob Riley, R-Ala.
