AIES TO HOST CQE/CQT REVIEW COURSE ON AUBURN CAMPUS

AUBURN- The Auburn Industrial Extension Service will host a 14-week comprehensive review for the Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Technician exams, beginning Tuesday.

The CQE and CQT are internationally recognized certifications, issued by the American Society for Quality recognizing those who have demonstrated a certain level of proficiency in the technical areas of quality.

The course is designed to certify individuals to contribute to the profitability of their company, improve quality, reduce lead times, and satisfy the needs of customers.

Instructors for the course will be Amitava Mitra, associate dean in the Auburn University College of Business and a professor in the Department of Management; and James Hool, a retired professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn.

The course at the Lowder Business Building will run from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and continues at that time each Tuesday evening through May 3. The cost is $500 and pre-registration is required by Thursday.

To register for the course, call Heather Veal at 334/844-3883.
