AUBURN OUTREACH SPONSORS BASS FISHING TECHNIQUES 2000
AUBURN -- Auburn University¹s Outreach Program Office will offer the popular B.A.S.S. Fishing Techniques 2000 -- sanctioned by the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society -- on Feb. 5-6.
The 2000 institute will be at the Lowder Business Building on the AU Campus. Instructors will include professionals such as Denny Brauer, Dion Hibdon and Ken Cook.
³We are excited to have the B.A.S.S. Fishing Techniques back on the campus of Auburn University this year,² said Robert McKinnell, program developer. ³Bass fishing gives you a chance to enjoy the outdoors, and who knows, you might just find that decoration to go over the fireplace."
The institute offers area anglers the opportunity to experience a classroom situation where America¹s top professional bass fishermen serve as instructors.
Each pro has an area of expertise that he uses and depends on to land bass. The institute serves as a format for the pros to pass along their knowledge, creating an opportunity for participants to learn from those who specialize in certain techniques.
Activities on Saturday, Feb. 5, begin at 7 a.m. with on-site registration. Classroom instruction begins at 8 a.m. After an orientation session, participants will attend six different workshops with Saturday instructors Guido Hibdon, Dion Hibdon and Rick Morris. Activities recess at 3 p.m., but participants are invited to attend informal ³Think Tank² sessions with individual instructors until 3:30 p.m.
Activities on Feb. 6 also begin at 8 a.m. as instructors Denny Brauer, Mark Menendez and Ken Cook conduct six additional workshops followed by Sunday¹s ³Think Tank.²
