Jordon Cochran of Ozark, who will be commissioned a second lieutenant int the Air Force in communications/computers; and Lon Oliver of Grand Island, Neb., who will be commissioned as a Navy ensign for pilot training, will be honored as Distinguished Military Graduates. Also, Shawn Huey of Renton, Wash.; Albert Outcalt of Fort Myers, Fla., and Harry Phelps of Morgantown, Ky. -- all headed for the Navy's officer candidate school in submarines -- will be honored as Distinguished Military Graduates. AU President William V. Muse will address the 155th commissioning ceremony, which begins at 9:30 a.m. in Langdon Hall. Other students to be commissioned include Conway Brooks III of Birmingham, second lieutenant, Army, field artillery; Bradley Mitchell Jr., of Anniston, second lieutenant Army Reserve, chemical corps; Thomas Billups Jr. of Montgomery, second lieutenant, Marine Corps Reserve; Derek Harris of Gallion, second lieutenant, Air Force, transportation; and Mark Tate of Spartanburg, S.C., second lieutenant, Air Force, transportation.
