Grant Davis, acting director of admissions, says prospective students will meet with representatives of academic areas, student affairs and various university organizations. A convocation at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum will feature presentations by Jim Ferguson, vice president for administrative services; Winston Tucker, Student Government Association president; and Davis. Tickets will be provided to the Sept. 9 football game at Jordan-Hare Stadium with UT-Chattanooga and the Oct. 21 game with Western Michigan. Students are being invited based on their qualifications for admission to AU, says Pat Barnes, vice president for student affairs. "Our goal is to provide general information concerning our academic programs and some related programs," she said. "The day should be both informative and entertaining. We are proud of the excellent quality of our academic programs and our student body." About 6,000 high school students and their parents attended the two "War Eagle Days" in 1994. # # # aug95:AU-wareagle CONTACT: Bob Karcher, 334/844-4080.
