Draughon Library on Saturday, Aug. 19. The workshop, "Introduction to Genealogical Research," features professional genealogist Antoinette Segraves, and will be presented in the Special Collections Department of the RBD Library. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the workshop will concluded at 5 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public, however, space is limited. To make reservations, call 334/844-1700. "The workshop is the first effort of this kind for the library," says Dale Foster, head of the library's Special Collections Department. "If all goes well, we hope to do it again next year." The workshop is co-sponsored by the library's Special Collections Department and the Genealogical Society of East Alabama. Segraves has conducted numerous workshops on genealogical research.
