GOLDEN KEY HONORARY AWARDS TWO SCHOLARSHIPS AT AUBURN 
     AUBURN -- Westerfield John Ficken of Montgomery and Hayley Jo
Harwell of Vero Beach, Fla., has been awarded scholarships and
membership in the Golden Key National Honor Society chapter at
Auburn University.
     Ficken, a junior who has a 4.0 grade point average in
electrical engineering, was also the recipient of the Fred H.
Pumphrey Outstanding Pre-Engineering Student Award at AU.
     Harwell, a senior with a 3.96 GPA in biomedical sciences, also
received the Alpha Gamma Delta Scholarship and the Kodak Eastman
Scholarship.
     Selected for honorary membership in the Golden Key Society
were Wanda Barker, manager of information systems at AU; Gail
McCullers, director of housing and residence life; and Elizabeth
Mueller, assistant director of student affairs.
     Since its establishment in 1977, the society has formed
chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States,
Puerto Rico and Australia. It has more than 450,000 members.
