AU MARKETING/TRANSPORTATION PROFESSOR NATIONAL CHAIR
     AUBURN -- James Adams, an associate professor in Auburn
University's Department of Marketing and Transportation, has been
elected chair of the American Society of Transportation and
Logistics Board of Examiners.
     Adams, coordinator of Transportation Studies in AU's College
of Business, will serve a two-year term. He has been a member of
the Board of Examiners for the past 17 years.
     Donald Veidt, president of the Lock Haven, Pa.-based society
said because of Adams' primary duty will be to act as liaison
between the examiners and the national board.
     Adams received his undergraduate, masters and doctorate from
Georgia State University, and has been a member of the AU faculty
since 1969.
