Jaeger, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, has been appointed to a three-year term as editor of the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits. Established in 1966 during the genesis of the integrated circuit industry, the journal has become the premier international forum for presentations on the latest designs and uses of solid-state electronic circuits and integrated circuit chips. The journal is sponsored by the Solid-State Circuits Council of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Jaeger is a former president of the group as well as an IEEE fellow. With a subscription base of approximately 12,000, the journal is widely read by engineers and researchers active in the global integrated circuit industry. "Bringing the leadership of this journal to the Auburn campus provides the university with wide visibility and continues to enhance the reputation of the Department of Electrical Engineering," said AU Engineering Dean William Walker. "Dr. Jaeger's stature in the field of microelectronics makes him eminently qualified to assume this position." # # # may95:AU-jaeger
