FORMER AUBURN DEAN TO ADDRESS PHI BETA KAPPA BANQUET

      AUBURN -- Mary Richards, the former dean of Auburn University's 
College of Liberal Arts, will address the annual banquet of the Phi Beta 
Kappa members in the Auburn area on Thursday, May 11.
      The banquet, which will be at 6 p.m. at the Alumni Center, will 
also feature the presentation of Certificates of Honor to undergraduate 
students in recognition of outstanding scholarship in the liberal arts. 
      Richards, who is now dean of arts and sciences at the University 
of Delaware, was dean of liberal arts at AU from July 1, 1988, through June
30, 1991.
