AU THEATRE PRESENTS FACULTY SHOWCASE OF "BETRAYAL" APRIL 25-30
     AUBURN -- Auburn University's Department of Theatre will
present a faculty showcase of Harold Pinter's "Betrayal" April
25-30 at Telfair Peet Theatre.
     The play, directed by Trish McAdams, head of the Department of
Theatre, features performances by AU faculty Robin Jaffe, assistant
professor of theatre technology who also is a designer and
scenographer for the play; Dan LaRocque, associate professor of
performance; Will York, professor and head of the performance
program; and Susan Sanford, instructor of theatre.
      Visiting Professor Jamie Bullins, who designed the costumes
for the play, will also have a one-man show of his designs in the
Telfair Peet Art Gallery during the performance.
     Tickets are $8 and performance time for shows April 25-29 is
8 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee April 30.
     Pinter's unusually constructed contemporary drama traces a
love affair in reverse, like placing a pile of withered flower
petals one-by-one back on a stem to form a bud. The technique
gradually exposes multiple betrayals: of husband, of wife, of
friend, of truth and of fantasy.
