The performance, sponsored by the university's Performing Arts Committee, will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. It will be free and open to the public. The performance, which chronicles the country music singer's climb to stardom to her tragic death in a 1963 plane crash, features more than 20 of her greatest hit songs, including "She's Got You"; "Walking After Midnight"; "Sweet Dreams"; "I Fall to Pieces"; and "Crazy". A fictional disc jockey in Cline's hometown of Winchester, Va., flashes through time from dusty roadhouse gigs to the Grand Ole Opry. A five-member band backs up Patsy, who is played by Lisa Layne. The show was conceived, written and directed by Regan, and the set, designed by Terry Genverdahl, utilizes a huge Wurlitzer-type juke box as a back drop. # # # april95:cline CONTACT: Lewis Cannon, chair of the Performing Arts Committee, (334) 844-5371.
