AU PROFESSORS, STUDENT WIN INNOVATIVE EDUCATION AWARD
AUBURN -- Two Auburn University professors and a doctoral student have won the 1995 Instructional Innovative Education Award presented by the Decision Sciences Institute.
Chetan Sankar, associate professor in the Department of Management; Scott Kramer, assistant professor in the Department of Building Science; and Kamal Hingorani, a Ph.D. Student at AU and assistant professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems at Alabama State University, were presented the award in Boston on November.
The award, which recognizes outstanding contributions that advance instructional approaches within the decision sciences, is sponsored by Alpha Iota Delta, the national honorary in the decision sciences, and Boyd & Fraser publishing company.
The professors, who won a $1,500 cash award, used a video tape of their project to defeat three other national finalists.
