<B>AU NAMES MICHAEL ROBINSON HEAD OF SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE<BR>
</B><BR>
     AUBURN -- P. Michael Robinson has been named head of the School of Architecture at Auburn University, says Thomas Regan, dean of the College of Architecture, Design and Construction.<P>
     Robinson came to AU from Kent State University where he was associate professor of architecture and director of the Urban Design Center of Northeast Ohio.<P>
     "Michael Robinson, who began his teaching career at Harvard, is now the newest in a distinguished line of heads of architecture here at Auburn," Regan said. "Professor Robinson was everyone's first choice in our extensive search, and he is a national
ly respected teacher and practitioner."<P>
     Robinson earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky and the master's in landscape architecture in urban design from Harvard University.<P>
     The School of Architecture, within AU's College of Architecture, Design and Construction, has 600 students working on undergraduate majors in architecture, landscape architecture and interior design and the master's degree in community planning. The 
school has 35 faculty members.<BR>
