AUBURN'S CHEERLEADERS GET READY FOR BUSIEST WEEK OF SEASON
AUBURN -- Auburn University's cheerleaders have kept fans motivated for years, and this week that'll be especially true this week as the Auburn Tigers get ready to face the Alabama Crimson Tide in Jordan-Hare Stadium Nov. 18.
The 1995-96 cheerleaders are committed to keeping the AU spirit alive, and have the busiest week of the year before the SEC showdown, says head cheerleader Ceil Morris of Hartselle.
Morris, a senior communications major who has been a cheerleader for three years, says nine special appearances, a pep rally, two basketball games and several practice sessions are just a few of the activities scheduled for the 15-member squad for Bama week.
"Most of the activities are alumni related, but we also have plans to cheer at local schools and the hospital," she said. "It's a really hectic time for us but we love it because the entire week we get to add to that excitement and see how fired up everyone is."
