BOOK READING BY AUTHOR BUFORD TO BE AT PEBBLE HILL DEC. 12

AUBURN -- A reading by Jim Buford, retired Alabama Cooperative Extension Service coordinator of management, will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 4 p.m. to introduce his new book, The Kindness of Strangers.

The program will be at AU's Center for the Arts and Humanities, Pebble Hill, and a reception will follow. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

The book, published this fall by Black Belt Press, is a collection of personal essays with an introduction by Jerry Brown, head of the AU Department of Journalism.
