AUBURN UNIVERSITY SETS FULL SLATE OF HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES

AUBURN -- Here's a list of activities that will take place on the Auburn University campus the week of Nov. 4-9 as a part of AU's celebration of homecoming:

Week-long Activities

** Mum sales: Monday through Wednesday on the Haley Center Concourse. Homecoming mums may be picked up between 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday in front of the James E. Foy Student Union. Sponsor: Mortar Board; Contact: Shana Widick.

** AU College of Agriculture Cornfield Maze: Tuesday through Thursday, 5 p.m.-10 p.m., Friday, 5 p.m.-midnight; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-midnight. For more info or pricing information, contact Bill Hardy, 334-844-2345.

Monday, Nov. 4

** Free concert, AU Vocal Chamber Ensemble, Goodwin Recital Hall, 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

** Free concert, AU Faculty Brass Quintet, Goodwin Recital Hall, 7:30 p.m.

** Free drive-in movie: Austin Powers in Goldmember, C-Zone parking lot across from the Sigma Nu fraternity house. Sponsor: UPC; 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

** Animal Appreciation Day: at the Eagle's Cage near the intersection of Roosevelt and Duncan drives. Sponsor: UPC; 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

** Rosen-Hutsell Omicron Delta Kappa Cake Race: AU's Wilbur Hutsell Track. Sponsor: ODK; 3:30 p.m. Contact: Parrish King.

Thursday, Nov. 7

** Free concert, AU Percussion Ensemble, Goodwin Recital Hall, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 8

** Homecoming Displays: available for viewing Friday on the Eagle's Cage lawn. Sponsor: ODK; noon.

** Homecoming pep rally: Friday at the Eagle's Cage. Sponsor: Student Government Association; 5 p.m., Contact Jay Lurie or Laura Ashley Wilson.

** Ladies Night Out with AU basketball coach Cliff Ellis . All proceeds benefit the Partnership for Children. For more information or to register, contact the AU Basketball office at 344-844-9760, 6 p.m.-9 p.m

Saturday, Nov. 9

** National Alumni Association meeting: Alumni Center, 9 a.m. ** 1970s Class Reunion: Alumni Tent near the intersection of Roosevelt and Duncan drives. Sponsor: Auburn Alumni Association; 9 a.m. Contact Liz Peel, 334-844-1146.

** Tiger Tailgate, outside WEGL studios in James E. Foy Student Union. Sponsor: WEGL; 9 a.m. Contact: Caleb McDow.
