AUBURN SCHEDULES RALLY TO CELEBRATE CAMPUS DIVERSITY

AUBURN -- Auburn University will have a rally to celebrate the diversity of its campus on Thursday at 4 p.m. on the Samford Hall Lawn.

The celebration -- called AUnite -- is open to all AU students, faculty and staff, as well as the community.

"In light of recent events, the Auburn family wants to come together to show the world the strength of the ties hold us together," said John Fletcher, AU's vice president of enrollment management services and one of the organizers of the event.

Several AU administrators and student leaders will share their thoughts on campus diversity and sign copies of the Birmingham Pledge. The AU Singers and the AU Gospel choir also will perform.
