<B>RECEPTION FOR LOGUE, SIMMS PHOTO BOOK SET FOR NOV. 4 AT AU<BR>
</B><BR>
     AUBURN -- A reception for retired Auburn University journalism professors Jack Simms and Mickey Logue, who are the co-authors of a new pictorial history of Auburn, will be Monday, Nov. 4, at the AU Athletic Museum.<P>
     The program will begin at 4 p.m. with an introduction by Auburn Athletic Director David Housel, followed by a short presentation by Simms and Logue on how they updated <I>Auburn: A Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village</I>. A reception will foll
ow.<P>
     The public is invited to attend the event, talk to the authors and tour the museum at the Athletic Complex, says Jay Lamar, assistant director of the Center for the Arts and Humanities at AU.<P>
     The 320-page book, which includes 604 photographs, updates the out-of-print best-seller originally published in 1981.<P>
     The signing is sponsored by the Center for the Arts and Humanities, the AU Athletic Department and the AU Bookstore.<P>
     The books, which sell for $34.95, will be available for purchase. <BR>
