AUBURN UNIVERSITY UNITED WAY GOAL SET AT $135,000
AUBURN -- Auburn University has set a goal of $135,000 for its contribution to the 1996 Campaign for the United Way of Lee County, says AU President William V. Muse.
"Since AU is such an integral part of the community, it is important that university people support this effort that serves 42 agencies and worthy causes in the county," said Muse. "Even though we face many challenges this year, I am confident that the Auburn family will rise to the occasion and achieve that goal."
The overall goal for the Lee County campaign is $700,000.
Muse encouraged AU employees to use payroll deductions and give at least the standard United Way contribution, which is one hour of pay per month.
The director of the AU campaign is Jim Ferguson, vice president for administrative services.
