<p><b>GOLIARD SOUTHEASTERN MUSIC FESTIVAL TO BE OCT. 22</b>
<p>	AUBURN -- A lively and varied program of chamber music, from Baroque to
modern, will be presented by the performers of the Goliard Southeastern Music
Festival Sunday, Oct. 22, at 2:30 p.m. at the Auburn United Methodist Church. The
concert is free and open to the public.
<p>	In addition to the concert, the group will present a master classes at Auburn
University Thursday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Goodwin Music Building.
<p>	The program on Oct. 22 will include variations on a well-known theme for
oboe, violin and cello by Beethoven, a romantic trio for piano, violin an cello by
Brahms, sacred arias by Bach and the premiere performance of Ronald Roseman's
"Holy Sonnets of John Donne" for tenor and ensemble with the composer
performing. Also, Dennis Raley performs Telemann's one-man comic cantata, "The
Schoolmaster."
<p>	In addition, the Auburn University Concert Choir, directed by Thomas 
Smith, will join the ensemble in performing excerpts from one of Handel's chandos
anthems titled "O Praise the Lord With One Consent."
<p>	The Goliard Southeastern Music Festival brings some of New York's most
talented musicians to the Southeast for a two-week residency.  The festival is
sponsored by Goliard Concerts, a New York-based non-profit corporation which
brings creative musical programming and outstanding musical artists to the public.
