<p><b>CRACKER BARREL CHAIRMAN TO SPEAK TO AU BUSINESS
STUDENTS</b>
<p>	AUBURN -- Dan Evins, chairman and chief executive officer, of the highly
successful Cracker Barrel restaurant chain, will speak to Auburn University College
of Business students on Friday, Oct. 13.
<p>	Evins will be on the AU campus as part of the College of Business' Visiting
Executive Program.
<p>	He will participate in an undergraduate student roundtable discussion,
starting at 10:10 a.m. in Room 202 of the Lowder Business Building, and will meet
with graduate students in Room 009 at 11:10 a.m.
<p>	There will also be a faculty reception for Evins from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. in
the Alabama Power Company Room.
<p>	Evins, 60, in 1970 co-founded Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., which is
based in Lebanon, Tenn. He previously was president and CEO of Consolidated Oil
Co., Inc.
<p>	The Marine Corps veteran is a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy
and is a member of the board of directors of Knoxville, Tenn.-based Clayton Homes,
Inc.
