AU TO CROWN MISS HOMECOMING AT HALFTIME OF LOUISIANA TECH GAME

AUBURN -- Homecoming 2001 at Auburn University will culminate at halftime of Saturday's football game between Auburn and Louisiana Tech with the announcement of Miss Homecoming.

The five finalists for Miss Homecoming 2001 are:

** Amelia Blackwood of Montgomery, a senior double major in political science and history and the daughter of Randy and Amy Stuart Blackwood;

** Courtney Bru of Brewton, a senior political science major and the daughter of Wayne and Karen Bru;

** Christy Burgess of Birmingham, a senior public relations major and the daughter of Robert Michael and Janet Burgess;

** Amanda Keeter of Spartanburg, S.C., a senior graphic design major and daughter of Steve and Barbara Keeter; and

** Kelly Kopnicky of Hokes Bluff, a senior communication disorders major and daughter of Joe and Susan Kopnicky.

AU students will cast their votes for Miss Homecoming on Thursday and Friday at polling places located throughout campus.
