AU SURPLUS AVAILABLE TO K-12 SCHOOLS MARCH 17-21

AUBURN -- Alabama's elementary and secondary schools can take advantage of the Auburn University Surplus Property Program between March 17 and March 21.

AU's Board of Trustees last year voted to donate to K-12 schools property that is no longer needed to support AU's instructional, outreach and research programs.

Some of the property in this year's surplus includes 25 typewriters, four copiers, eight fax machines, 13 computers, 24 monitors, 86 printers, various furniture items (tables, chairs, desks, credenzas) and books.

Click here and then go to the "Surplus Available" button to view a complete list of available items.

Also available at the site is a printable application form, along with instructions for schools interested in participating in the program.

Priority will be given to schools that have an ongoing relationship with AU, but all public schools are eligible. The equipment will be donated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Schools interested in acquiring books should contact Glenn Anderson, assistant director for collections at 334/844-7741.

The Truman Pierce Institute, in AU's College of Education, is administering the surplus property program.

Interested school systems should contact Cathy Newkirk, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m., CST, at 334/844-4488. Appointments must be made through the Truman Pierce Institute to view the available property.
