ARTIST CONRAD ROSS TO SHOWCASE WORK AT AUBURN'S PEBBLE HILL
AUBURN -- In a show that features samples from a long and varied career in the visual arts, the work of Conrad Ross will be on exhibit at Auburn University's Center for the Arts & Humanities beginning Tuesday, April 2.
The show will open with a reception on April 2 at 4 p.m., and be open for viewing from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. weekdays until April 25.
Ross, professor emeritus of art at AU since his retirement in 1997, earned an MFA in printmaking at the University of Iowa before joining the Auburn faculty in 1963.
Internationally recognized for his printmaking, Ross has participated in more than 400 invitational and juried shows as well as about 40 solo exhibitions of paintings, drawings and prints. His most recent show was at the Wiregrass Museum in Dothan.
In addition to having a Fulbright Fellowship to China, Ross has received several grants and fellowships for international travel and exhibition, including work in Belgium and Italy.
