AU Environmental Self Audit
December 1st - 5th, 2008
On December 1st - 5th, 2008 the Auburn University Department of Risk Management and Safety (RMS) will sponsor a campus wide audit to assess compliance with environmental regulations mandated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). The audit will include all University operations.
The audit of AU campus operations will be conducted by eight teams of Peer Auditors composed of representatives from the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the University of Alabama Birmingham. Peer audit teams will be led by professional environmental auditors from HRP Associates, Inc.
Representatives from the AU Peer Auditor team will be available to assist with the campus audit and may be contacted for additional information.
AU Team: Mike Bracken (COSAM), Terri Carson(Engineering), Byron Harris (Veterinary Medicine), Tom Hodges (Administration), Ken Martin (Facilities), and Frank Owsley (Agriculture).

AU Risk Management Announces New Vendor to Administer University Claims
Auburn's Risk Management & Insurance Department announces that effective October 1, 2008 all university OJI (on-the-job injury) claims will be administered by Cannon Cochran Management Services Inc. (CCMSI). Both new and existing claims will be administered from CCMSI's claims office located in Ridgeland, MS. CCMSI comes to Auburn University with an excellent reputation for providing quality service to both the property & casualty insurance marketplace, as well as to the higher education community. New Certificate of Insurance Request Form
Effective immediately the procedure for submitting a Request for Certificate of Insurance will change in an effort to make the process more convenient and efficient. The newly updated form can be filled out
and submitted via email to the Risk Management and Insurance Department. Certificates of Insurance will now be issued and sent via email directly to the requesting Auburn department and the requesting entity/company.
