Graduates need to make sure that all outstanding university obligations are resolved prior to graduation day. Outstanding obligations involving any function of Auburn University or the Auburn University Medical Clinic that are not resolved will result in a hold being placed on the diploma.
If a student has a hold, their diploma will not be ordered until the hold is cleared. After commencement day, it is the student’s responsibility to notify the Office of the Registrar when their hold is cleared. If the hold is not cleared within 90 days after commencement day, the student will then need to order a Replacement Diploma ($40) to obtain a diploma.
The $25.00 graduation fee is applied to the fee bill of every degree candidate. The fee is included in the fee bill you receive from the Billing/Receivables Department of Student Financial Services and must be paid by the due date of the bill to avoid late fee charges
Degree candidates who do not actually complete degree requirements will NOT be refunded the $25.00. Each time a student attempts to graduate, they must enroll in the graduation course (UNIV-4AA0) and the $25.00 graduation fee is applied each time. It is the student’s responsibility to re-enroll in the graduation course for a future graduation term.
