Message from Chief of Police
Frank M. deGraffenried

The City of Auburn Department of Public Safety-Police Division provides law enforcement and police services to all citizens of Auburn University and Auburn. The Auburn Police Division is committed to providing you with a competent, well trained, professional, and effective police service. By taking advantage of available technology and training opportunities, and by working in close association with members of our city and university communities, the Police Division is taking a progressive and proactive approach to the prevention of crime and the prosecution of criminals. Our vision for Auburn University and Auburn is one where all citizens can live with enhanced feeling of security and safety, free to enjoy all that this great community and university has to offer, without the fear and apprehension so often associated with crime.

All reports of crime and/or suspected criminal activity should be reported to the City of Auburn Department of Public Safety-Police Division. Our primary objective is to assist students as they realize their fullest potential by providing a safe and orderly environment in which students may study, faculty may teach and conduct research, and employees may provide support services.
