Disciplinary Procedures

Procedures for campus disciplinary actions in cases of an alleged sex offense are outlined in the code of Student Discipline in the Tiger Cub Student Handbook.

For all alleged infractions of the Discipline Code, including sexual assault:

  1. The student accused of violating the code has the right to a hearing.
  2. Both the accused and the accuser have the right to present witnesses and evidence, and to be present throughout their presentation.
  3. Sanctions that may be imposed include formal and informal reprimands, probation, suspension, and expulsion.
  4. Both the accused and the accuser have the right to be notified of the dispensation of the case and the right to appeal to the President of the University.

Refer to the Tiger Cub (www.auburn.edu/tigercub) for the complete policies, procedures, rights and sanctions related to violations of the Discipline Code.
