Our mission is to provide safe and reliable transportation services to Auburn University students, faculty, and staff.

Our Services

We are proud to provide the following services to the Auburn University community:

Tiger Transit

For Auburn University Students, Faculty, and Staff

During the fall and spring semesters, Tiger Transit is in operation Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm*. During the summer semester, all lines are in operation Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. There is no transit service available on weekends, during semester breaks or during official Auburn University holidays and closure periods.

Twenty-two lines that travel both on and off campus are available for current Auburn University students, faculty, and staff to use with their valid Auburn University ID card. In order to identify routes needing to be used, ETA Spot provides easy to recognize color-coordinated routes to help with identifying route information. ETA Spot provides real-time bus location information through their free smartphone app for both Apple and Android devices.
*During the fall and spring semesters, the Health Sciences Sector and the South Quad-Fine Arts Lines are in operation from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.



For the General Public:

The general public is not allowed to use Tiger Transit when regular transit service* is being provided. The Lee-Russell Public Transit is the public transit system for the Lee County, Alabama area. Information regarding the services they provide can be obtained by calling (334) 749-9092.

*We reserve the right to require a valid Auburn University ID Card be presented to the driver upon boarding.



For Gameday Events:

Special routes are in operation for specific gameday events that all fans are allowed to use to and from designated gameday transit stops. Complete gameday transit information can be found on our gameday events page.



jAUnt Services

For Auburn University Students, Faculty, and Staff

jAUnt Services is an appointment-based system* that provides golf cart transportation for Auburn University students, faculty, and staff with a medical condition that makes traveling within the central part of campus difficult.

All riders must be approved to use jAUnt prior to scheduling services by submitting medical documentation to the Office of Accessibility for approval. If a rider is approved to be provided transportation, we will be notified by the Office of Accessibility. We will then follow up with the approved rider via email with additional information and the form that must be completed and returned to us prior to services being provided.

jAUnt is in operation Monday - Friday, with the first appointment of the day scheduled to take place at 7:40 am, and the final appointment of the day scheduled to take place at 4:50 pm. Services provided by jAUnt are not available during the weekends, semester breaks, during special events, Auburn University holidays and closure periods.

The services provided by jAUnt are strictly limited to Auburn University students, faculty, and staff members who have been approved to be provided services. We do not provide charter services, rent or loan out the golf carts used for jAUnt services for any reason. Additionally, we do not provide transportation for campus tours or for special events.

For assistance needed during special events or for campus tours, please contact the sponsoring office directly and inform them of any special requirements so they can ensure you have transportation. Each office is responsible for providing transportation for their guests using their own resources.

The golf carts used for jAUnt Services are GPS enabled and can be tracked using ETA Spot.

*jAUnt is a courtesy service and is not part of any accommodations.



University Express

For Auburn University Faculty and Staff

The University Express is a courtesy van service that is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and goes from any on-campus location to any on-campus location. Service is also provided through our By Request Service.

Calls for service are answered from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. In order to obtain service, call (334) 844-8600 at the time service is needed and be prepared to provide the following information to the dispatcher:

1- On-Campus departure location
2- On-Campus destination
3- Number of passengers to be transported

Please Note:

1- Services provided by the University Express are for faculty and staff only.
2- Services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
3- We do not provide scheduled services.
4- Vans are only allowed to transport 10 passengers at a time.
5- Drivers are only allowed to wait in place for any passenger for 4 minutes.
6- Drivers are only allowed to go to approved stop locations.
7- Drivers are only allowed to transport passengers from the departure location and destination location provided to the dispatcher.
8- Drivers are not allowed to transport passengers to multiple locaitons during their ride.
9- Some restrictions apply.
10- As the University Express is a courtesy services with limited resources, we ask you call and cancel your ride if it is decided that transportation is not needed.

The vans used for the University Express are GPS enabled and can be tracked using ETA Spot.
Service is not available during official Auburn University holiday and closure periods.



By Request Service

For Auburn University Students, Faculty, and Staff

By Request Service is a courtesy service available on a first come-first serve basis to and from any marked Tiger Transit bus stop to and from the following locations:

1- E.W. Shell Fisheries
2- Kreher Preserve and Nature Center
3- Lambert-Powell Meats Lab
4- Surplus Property
5- Swine Research Center
6- The Hotel at Auburn University
7- Yarbrough Tennis Center

Calls for service are answered from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. In order to obtain service, call (334) 844-8600 at the time service is needed and be prepared to provide the following information to the dispatcher:

1- Tiger Transit bus stop location
2- By request location
3- Number of passengers to be transported

Please Note:

1- By Request Service is for students, faculty and staff only.
2- Services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
3- We do not provide scheduled services.
4- Vans are only allowed to transport 10 passengers at a time.

By request locations are Auburn University owned properties that are not on a regular Tiger Transit route.

Service is not available during official Auburn University holiday and closure periods.



Shopping Shuttle

For Auburn University Students, Faculty, and Staff

The Shopping Shuttle departs from the Melton Student Center beginning at 5:30 pm and concluding at 9:30 pm each Friday* and goes to the following shopping locations:

1- Wal-Mart (Opelika)
2- Kroger (TigerTown Shopping Center)
3- Asian Supermarket (Saugahatchee Square)
4- Auburn Mall

Passengers requiring to be dropped off at a location other than the Melton Student Center should provide their destination location to the driver upon boarding the bus. Buses will only transport passengers to Tiger Transit bus stops that receive service during regular hours of operation.

Passengers are only allowed to carry as many bags as they can hold. As per DOT regulations, the aisle of the bus must remain clear of obstacles at all times. Items that must be stored in areas that protrude into the aisle or interfere with other passengers and/or DOT regulations are not permitted on board.

The buses used for the Shopping Shuttle are GPS enabled and can be tracked using ETA Spot.

*The Shopping Shuttle is not in operation on Fridays where businesses are closed for a holiday.
