Reporting to the offices of Development and Alumni Affairs, Information Management Services (IMS) maintains the central computer environment–hardware, software, and database–that supports the institution's efforts to maintain and cultivate relations with alumni and donors.
In addition, IMS provides desktop and laptop support for system users working in the Office of Alumni Affairs and Office of Development, ensuring that the tools deployed for operations are current, technically sound, and protected from viruses. IMS produces numerous reports, files, and other output based on information that resides on the central database, and works in conjunction with several departments to maintain consistently-updated, accurate data in the central system.
Maintain the database of alumni and friends of Auburn University and evaluate the effectiveness of the platform in providing Auburn University's Office of Alumni Affairs and Office of Development with the information necessary to enhance their missions and achieve their goals;
Monitor and evaluate user needs related to software products and make recommendations for modifications, enhancements, and training; develop any subprograms needed to accomplish alumni and development objectives;
Provide comprehensive technical support for individuals who are connected to the Alumni and Development computer network.
