Auburn University is committed to providing quality health services and programs for the entire University community and strives to foster activities that will enable individuals to make informed decisions and modify behaviors regarding their health. The University offers a variety of prevention programming.

Recreational Services

- Health Promotion Events/Activities such as Alcohol Awareness, The Great American Smokeout,and the Student Health Fair.
- Workshops such as American Red Cross First Aid and Safety, American Heart Association CPR, Smoking Cessation, and Fitness and Nutrition.
- Presentations on topics such as alcohol and drugs, sexuality, acquaintance rape, and healthy lifestyles.

Residence Hall Association Programs
|
Housing and Residence Life offers 300-400 programs every year based on a wellness model that includes spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, social and occupational themes.
Presentation topics include safe sex, acquaintance rape, dating violence, security on and off campus, self defense, and stress management. There is also a video library with various tapes that can be checked out. All students are encouraged to attend these presentations. A schedule is printed in The Auburn Plainsman and the AU Report or can be obtained from the RHA office in Burton Hall.
