They are: Kimberly B. Ford for office administration excellence in the theatre/College of Liberal Arts; Sheila P. Hooks for service and maintenance excellence in the Student Center; Donna W. Tucker for administrative and professional excellence in Risk Management; and Christopher E. Cox for technical and paraprofessional excellence in information and instructional technology/Veterinary Medicine.

Monthly winners are eligible to receive the Employee of the Year Award, announced at the annual Employee Recognition Award ceremony in the spring.

To nominate an employee, a form must be completed and submitted to the following address: Spirit of Excellence Award, Department of Human Resources, 1550 E. Glenn Avenue, Auburn, AL 36849. Nominations must be received by the 15th of each month and will remain in effect for a period of one year from the date submitted.

Save the dates for upcoming Employee Relations events

The official start of spring is several weeks away, but it's not too early to begin thinking about three Employee Relations events which will take place between April and June:

  • The Administrative Professional Day Conference will take place on Wednesday, April 26.  This year's theme is "A Focus on Diversity."
  • Employee Recognition Day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, at the Student Center.  More than 500 employees will be recognized this year.
  • Family Fun Day is set for Wednesday, June 14, at Ham Wilson Arena.

Human Resources will share additional information about each of these events in the next few weeks.
