Pre-Check registration for AU employees will be offered April 10-14

Auburn University Human Resources

During the period of April 10-14, 2017, Auburn University will make available TSA Pre-Check registration to University employees, along with immediate family members.  This is the second consecutive year that the Pre-Check event has been offered to AU employees.

The decision to offer this program was made after AU employees overwhelmingly stated in an online survey that they would be interested in registering for Pre-Check in Auburn, rather than having to travel to Columbus, Montgomery, another city or the airport to register.  For most individuals, the enrollment process (online pre-enrollment plus the in-person appointment) will take less than 30 minutes.

Employees who would like to register for this program are encouraged to do so quickly, as there is limited space available.  Additional information and instructions are listed below:

What is TSA Pre-Check?

TSA Pre-Check is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience. For TSA Pre-Check travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Today, TSA Pre-Check has more than 450 lanes at 167 U.S. airports, including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

The TSA Pre-Check application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA Pre-Check. Once approved, travelers will receive a “Known Traveler Number” (which can be added to a traveler's airline profile and reservations) and will have the opportunity to utilize TSA Pre-Check at select security checkpoints when flying on 25 carriers that currently participate in TSA Pre-Check including: Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, OneJet, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin America and WestJet, Frontier, and Spirit.
