SUPERVISORY TRAINING: Understanding Classification and Compensation

Welcome to the Supervisory Training session for the new Classification and Compensation program.  This program is designed to educate you, the supervisor, about the new classification program and to prepare you to meet with your employees and discuss the new job descriptions, salary structure, job families, and other aspects of the new program.  The program is divided into seven segments -- each segment explaining a particular aspect of the new program.  It is important that you view all seven segments prior to discussing the new program with your employees.

The classification project website provides additional information to assist you with your understanding of this program, including a copy of this slide presentation, a glossary of terms, supervisor's talking points, salary administration guidelines, and a copy of the compensation brochure.  We suggest that you print and review copies of this information prior to viewing the training session and have copies available to review and reference as you watch the session.
