Position Summary

The Human Resources Department of Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Classification and Compensation Specialist. The individual in this position will serve as a member of the compensation and classification group. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing job analysis and job evaluations; writing and editing job descriptions; conducting salary surveys and analyzing results; recommending pay grades/levels; determining FLSA status; preparing reports summarizing job analysis, evaluations and compensation information.  

Minimum Qualifications

Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field. This position requires a working knowledge of the principles and procedures relating to personnel recruitment, selection, compensation, and personnel information systems. Excellent writing, communications, and technical skills are essential.  

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is desired.

Position Summary

The individual in this position administers human resources related programs and projects and resolves employee relations and other HR issues within the College of Liberal Arts.  

Minimum Qualifications

The minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field. Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Human Resources is required.  

Desired Qualifications

Desired qualifications include: experience with MS Word; Excel; and Windows operations; Past experience evidencing knowledge, familiarity, and applications of state and federal employment law highly desired; and experience with and/or familiarity with Auburn University HR policies and procedures system; some knowledge of the faculty recruitment process is also desired.
