Cable T.V. and Wireless Internet
Cable and internet services are included in your rent. There is a cable outlet in each residence hall room and in each bedroom and living room in the Village. Wireless internet access is available throughout the residence halls. View a list of cable TV channels available in the residence halls.
Students living in Auburn’s residence halls have free, unlimited access to the HBO GO® service – available on any computer in the U.S. with a high-speed Internet connection as well as iPad®, iPhone®, Android™ devices, Apple TV®, Google Chromecast, Xbox 360®, Xbox One® Samsung® Smart TVs, Roku®, Kindle Fire, Amazon Fire TV and PlayStation® 3 and PlayStation® 4 and more. To activate your HBO GO® accounts, on-campus residents visit www.hbogo.com or download the app, click “sign in” and scroll down to select “Auburn University” from the dropdown menu. Complete authentication by following the instructions to log in with school login credentials, then simply create an HBO GO® user ID and start watching.
Washers and dryers are located in each Village residence hall and in each Hill residence hall as well as an additional laundry room at Terrell Hall in the center of the Hill community. In the Quad, there is a central laundry facility at the Quad Center. Residents in the Hill, Quad, and Village may pay for machine use by placing money on their TigerCard or using coins in the machines.
South Donahue residents are provided in-suite laundry machines. Cambridge residents may use complementary washers and dryers located in the first floor of Cambridge.
A custodial staff regularly cleans the public areas in and around all residence halls. Students are responsible for cleaning their rooms, bathrooms, and common areas (living room, kitchenettes, etc.). The Property Management staff also conducts health and safety inspections and performs general maintenance functions (i.e., painting, plumbing, electrical). Residents may submit requests for maintenance 24-hours a day by completing a work order form. Technicians are on-call after business hours and on weekends to respond to emergency maintenance requests. A custodial staff regularly cleans the public areas in and around all residential buildings. Trash Disposal and Recycling
Residents are responsible for placing their trash and recycling in the appropriate outdoor receptacles located in close proximity to their residence halls. Residents are encouraged to recycle and are provided with totes for carrying items recycling bins. Learn what you can recycle through our residential recycling program.
Residents may use their dining plans at any dining venue on campus. For more information visit: AU Dining
There are central mailrooms in each residential community. Hill, Quad, and Cambridge residents share a mailbox for each room. South Donahue and Village residents are each assigned a mailbox. Residents are notified when to pick up packages. Resident mailing addresses and mailroom locations are available on the mail services website.
Heating & Cooling
At the Village and South Donahue each suite has a thermostat to control heat and air-conditioning. Cambridge rooms also have a thermostat to control heating and air-conditioning. Due to the nature of the mechanical system in the Quad and Hill, heating and air-conditioning on demand is not available. Quad and Hill residents will receive notification when heating and cooling is switched.
